North Carolina Renaissance
(Diversity and Multicultural Affairs)
Sophomore opportunity for a four day day enrichment program at UNC beginning May 17-20 2017. Students get to participate in sessions including leadership and team building, college admissions, financial aid, and community service. This program is also beneficial for receiving information regarding Moorehead scholarships.

University of North Carolina at Greensboro Campus Visit
UNCG will be visiting our campus April 26th in room 2102 from 12:00-1:00. They would love to speak with our sophomores about educational opportunities and the variety of programs they offer. This is a great opportunity to speak with their advisors about questions and/or concerns you may have. If you have questions feel free to stop by Mrs. Peter's or Ms. Hampton's office.

Resource Conservation Workshop held at NCSU
This event will be held this summer from June 25-June 30, 2017. If you are a rising junior or senior and are interested in attending this workshop, please visit the email and link below for general information and application. This is an expense paid workshop and students are eligible to receive scholarships.
Applications must be received in the Johnston Soil and Water District office no later than Monday, May 8, 2017 at 5pm.

Apply now to be a Junior Volunteer!
The Junior Volunteer program, which runs during the summer months, is intended for high school students who want to gain hands-on experience in the health care environment. This program has a limited number of available positions and placement decisions are based upon a first come, first serve basis. Our junior volunteers help out in a variety of ways, including:
Applications for Summer 2017 are being accepted through May 1, 2017. Applicants much be 15 years old by June 1, 2017.
- Delivering flowers, cards and gifts to patients
- Assisting various hospital departments with special needs
- Transporting patients by wheelchair
- Running errands
